I finally got around to eating here as I am staying next door at The Marriott Residence Inn but my work schedule hasn't allowed it actually until yesterday. I thought the food and service was excellent except for the fact that they only serve Pepsi products instead of Coca-cola but then being from Atlanta I am a little prejudiced in that regard lol. I had the homemade chicken noodle soup to start and it was delicious and then based on other yelp reviews I tried the 5 Cheese Lasagna. it was awesome and plentiful. I really enjoyed it and thought the garlic bread that came with it was really good too. The decor is simple but I thought quite cute. All in all I had an excellent lunch and good experience all the way around!

Food seems to take forever even though it wasn't busy. With everyone getting sandwiches I don't understand the big delays. Tuna sandwich has too much olives.. olives chopped and incorporated into the tuna was overpowering and I couldn't taste the tuna Fries were decent, little on the cold side so that's not the problem with slow food times. Would I come back? I don't know

After a long day, we thought to try this place based on the Yelp reviews. Unfortunately, although the food was good, the time it took to get it was almost a deal breaker. After driving all day, the last thing my 8 and 11 year old children needed was a 30 minute wait for their food. And the strange thing is we ordered chicken noodle soup (yummy), a child's spaghetti (bland) and a Reuben sandwich (soggy). These should not take 30 minutes to prepare. On the up side, it was close to our hotel. So, if you want a convenient and pretty good dinner, and you don't mind spending a long time, try it out.

In town for a couple days and came to Roberts because it was close to our hotel. We were served ice tea and salads right away and then had to wait forever for our food to arrive. There was not enough sauce on the eggplant or noodles and the noodles were cold. Had to ask for additional parmesan cheese to sprinkle on top. Worst service ever! Waitress did not even smile once but was polite. The one star is for politeness because they didn't earn stars for anything else. Totally a bad dining experience.

been here a few times.nothing special here.no booths all tables cafeteria style.limited menu food was ok.takes long to get it to your table, not really worth the wait in my opinion.staff was cordial but businesslike.usually too hot or too cold inside.kinda blah.if you cant go anywhere else this is passable like if youre stuck at hotel nearby.better than denny's

This was really gross food. I got a Steak Gorgonzola ($18.00) with sauteed mushrooms on the top. The steak was watery, not really juicy. The Gorgonzola/mushroom topping was a sloppy mess glopped onto the steak, and didn't even have a Gorgonzola zest to it. The rice pilaf was just some in the box, uncle bens/Rice-a-Roni tasting stuff; hardly any grains. Probably the worst part for me: The lighting in this place is atrocious. The lighting is like the inside of a 7 eleven. It made everything and everyone look very unappealing. My hands even looked terrible gripping the utensils! My reflection in the spoon even looked like death warmed over! My server was a very nice lady, and I tipped her big time because of her friendly ways. She's the only reason it wasn't just one star. But this place was yucky, and ugly, and depressing.

Do yourself a favor, hop on the freeway and go to a real restaurant. If you are staying near the Salt City Airport (think industrial park/chain hotel park) and you drive by Roberts and think "hey there are some cars there and thank god it's not a hotel restaurant". Just keep driving! Nice staff that is really trying but so much was wrong... NY strip ordered rare came out with no visible signs of life or any pink. They have a nice drink menu but were out of the first liquor I ordered and 2 of the beers. The rest of the food was basic food service brand/packaged and underwhelming. Take the time to get on the freeway and eat a real meal.

I came to Roberts this morning because it's right by my hotel and after reading some reviews sounded like the kind of place I like. The service was friendly the restaurant itself is simple but clean. I ordered the western omelette and overall it was pretty good. The toast was a little cold, but not bad. My only complaint is I was one of four customers in the restaurant you took over 20 minutes for my Omelette to come out. But honestly the food was good and the best place for breakfast I have found in this immediate area.

Except for the fact that it was walking distance from my hotel and the hotel gave me a ten percent discount on the mean I would have turned around. This does not look like much. It the staff is proud of the food and rightfully so The dinner salad was good but the dressings are made in house and were top drawer. The eggplant parm was very crispy the way I like it and the homemade sauce was really tasty. Not too sweet. The homemade apple pie with ice cream was served warn and was really good. Recommended

As I sit here for the last 30 minutes watching waitresses running around with no rhyme or reason from one end of the place to another; people getting welcomed, their drinks and food in no order whatso ever; every conversation starting with "we're so sorry"; I think to myself I've seen better run restaurants at the BEGINNING of those hidden camera shows. I'd gladly comment on the food but I've only seen other people's food.

Terrific restaurant with a wonderful selection! Our waitress Crystal was so friendly, bubbly, and excited-absolutely perfect! I had the chicken primavera which was delicious and filled with amazing summer veggies! I also got a slice of their FANTASTIC cheesecake topped with cherries! Everything was great all around!

Staying at one of the airport hotels. This is your food option. 3:00 & I have the whole place to myself. Time to relax and read some emails. The chicken panini was fresh and good. A little background music from some good quality JBL outdoor speakers. One TV set on a cable music channel. T-bar ceilings, stained concrete floor, diner quality tables and chairs, cheap silverware - paper napkins, in a commercial building complex. Michael spent the whole time cleaning and didn't miss a beat with service! Saw at least 3 kitchen staff. I recommend it - a must for all the nearby hotels.

Decent place. Decent food and decent Staff. Not a lot of options around the area, and this is pretty good for business lunches.

Ordered the Mediterranean panini and it was good. Service was awesome Jennifer was the waitress name. she was on point. Will visit here again when I come back to salt lake. Apple pie is awesome!!

Thanks to fellow yelpers I enjoyed lunch here since my hotel had no dining open at the time, Surprisingly good with excellent service by Sabre. I saw equal efficiency from other employees. I may have to try breakfast tomorrow!

Found this place by mistake staying at a nearby hotel ... We found a hidden gem! Food was absolutely delicious (7 people - no one was disappointed!) and service was above and beyond. Efficient and very friendly! Highly recommend the steak, Alfredo, and the brownie Sunday!

Okay this place is a definite repeat. I travel a lot for work and stay at the Double Tree, hotel food gets really boring and redundant. This little Gem of a restaurant that I have driven by 50 times is wonderful. Everything (including breads) are made from scratch. The owner stopped by and was really friendly. Extensive menu, good selection of sides and reasonable prices. Yes, definite repeat!

Great hole in the wall diner nestled among desolate airport hotels. Worth the walk. Good was amazingly good topped only by the friendly gals that work here. Had the pasta with vodka sauce which was tasty. Save room for their pies! I will return!

This area has 14 hotels. Our flight was delayed by 6 hours plus (still has not taken off!) We found out right away that there was no way to get to the small town we live in even with an hour delay and that we would be overnighting. American put us up at the Hilton Garden Inn. Our very friendly and talkative shuttle driver pointed out Roberts as a decent option to eat. I read a bunch of reviews and decided that Roberts was our best, walking distance option. Based on the reviews I knew that I would order the lasgna and a craft beer. My husband suggested we split a dinner so we added bacon cheese fries to the mix. We also ordered a pitcher of beer at less than double the price of two glasses! We enjoyed every thing we ordered and left too full to try the dessert. If you are looking for a good meal in this are it proved to be a great option for us.

Very basic sandwich place. A good bowl of Thai chicken soup, a bad Reuben sandwich. Great service. Very low key neighborhood spot.

  • Rhonda M.

Great place if you are into homemade food! Lol! Great service and the breakfast is pretty good. I always come here when I fly to Salt Lake. It is just a little gold mine hidden between the hotels.

  • Keith O.

I eat here at least once a day when I'm in SLC. It's right between airport and hotels. I have not had a bad meal. Bonus they serve craft beers on draft. Salads, burgers ,pasta, soup it's all good.

If you're going for ambience, you going to the wrong place. But if you're looking for a very friendly waitstaff, excellent home cooked food at a more than reasonable price than Roberts is your place. I had the French dip with the chicken noodle soup and ice tea. The chicken noodle soup was homemade and on my table in less than two minutes after taking my order. The French dip was made on a large homemade fresh bun. The roast beef was piled high and the melted provolone cheese was layered thick. My total bill with tax $8.37. It's nothing to look at from the outside but go in because the food is well worth it.

  • Matt M.

Great food, great prices, friendly staff & good service. I was the last customer of the night and was still eating after close and did not feel pressured to leave. Food was hot & fresh, wings are very meaty. Don't go if you are looking for ambiance.

Fabulous breakfast chow. I am addicted to the biscuits and gravy- super creamy and rich. I have been back three times this week alone! When I went back for my second visit, the server greeted me by name, which gave the place a nice, friendly feel. Breakfast items are nice and cheap- the biscuits and gravy plate with a side of bacon is around $4.50. Good food- friendly service. Definitely a repeat visit in my future.

Good soup! Great pie! Friendly service and really the only restaurant in the area, going to try breakfast in the morning.

Great place that delivers! Unbelievably nice, courteous, and friendly employees at this place. Very reasonably priced, and great food on top of it all. I would highly recommend it. Especially if you've had a long day & just don't feel like going out. They come to you! I will definitely eat there again when at an airport hotel in SLC.

I visited this place on the recommendation of the hotel concierge. The place is friendly enough but not truly welcoming. The waitresses and waiters push beer on everyone and ask about refills within minutes of service. I ordered at 7:30 and did not receive my food until 8. Soup and appetizer took about 10 minutes And the appetizers were poorly prepared. I ordered the shrimp cocktail which was warm and slightly tangy. I ate it but it did not sit well. The lettuce under the cocktail was slightly browned. The butter nut squash soup was burnt and a bit bland, but ok. I ordered the steak dinner and was disappointed as well. The vegetables were tough and slightly brown. The rice was under cooked and cold. The mushrooms on top of the steak were extremely salty and undercooked. The steak itself was overcooked. I ordered med-rare and received a well cooked steak. The steak was bland, dry and tough. I question whether or not it was the steak described as hand selected and cooked to perfection. I left feeling disappointed in the food and wondering how this place is in business.

I had a very nice waitress. The food was decent but lacking variety, The beer was better. Good craft brews available. Its the best youre going to get in this area, no doubt.

Only 1 star because you can't comment with 0 stars. I almost feel sorry for this place because I don't think they know what good food is!! Serving crap, but staff is trying.

I had several days of travel fiasco, cancelled flights, layovers, etc. This place was a little slice of heaven. Thanks to my waitress Kami for being so friendly, getting me a glass of wine and hot french dip sandwich. This place restored my faith in humanity.

  • Kathy R.

I ordered the steak Gorgonzola. The worst meal I have ever had. The meat was gristly and tasteless. The Gorgonzola sauce was weak and runny. If you go there, stick to sandwiches and salads. It is a deli not a fine restaurant.

  • Rob L.

Great service, Crystal, not from Minnesota, was friendly, fun and even sings to you while serving. Chicken parm was prepared perfectly. Lasagna was great as well. I look forward to our next visit.

A pleasant break from hotel restaurants, this diner sits amidst hotel row by the SLC airport and offers fresh ingredients. My server was attentive and friendly, watching out for when I was ready. I wanted a Caesar's salad and a hot sandwich, and my server let me take the salad as my side with no extra cost. I enjoyed a chicken breast sandwich grilled perfectly so as to be cooked completely but still juicy. I enjoyed the bun that came with it - more like an egg roll. Nice selection of draft beers. I enjoyed the decor - comfortable with roomy tables. Not a romantic dinner setting, but great for the food and service with a smile.

I am an east coast guy out here in Utah for some work stuff. Staying at residence inn(next door) decided to come to this place for some beer and wings. From the outside this place has that dive look to it but when you enter its a nice easy layout minus a bar. Ok here we go. Get the wings!!! Medium and garlic are the bomb. I am a philly guy and know my wings and this place does them right. Yes the beer sucks because of utahs religious beliefs (3.2 beers) but just get a couple $3 miller lites and chug. Man the wings rock here and the service is great as well.

Went to Robert's for lunch since they are close to my work. I had their lunch special the New York style Philly. I opted for the soup instead of fries or onion rings. The soup as creamy chicken and rice. It tasted home made and was good. The sandwich came and it was a good size sandwich with slow roasted beef and a marinara sauce, I opted to skip all the veggies. The sauce was a bit of a surprise, I assume that is what makes it NYC style, but the sandwich was good. The service was good, the atmosphere was diner casual, and the food was good and reasonably priced

  • David T.

I loved my visit to Robert's. The chicken parmigiana was very good. Prices are moderate. They have outside seating where my girl was welcome. That made the visit great. The homemade apple pie ala mode was excellent and ended my meal perfectly.

  • Jay D.

Located in a strip mall, I was not expecting much but very limited options at airport hotels. Food was really good, clam chowder was excellent, overall I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, they do sell beer, wine, spirits ( in SLC you have to ask).

  • Thomas P.

If Yelp allowed increments of 1/2 stars I would have rated them 4.5 stars. The service was 5 stars. The meals was between 3 - 4 stars. Although I ordered off the lunch menu I thought it could have been served with more than 5 average size onion rings. I would return and recommend this place to others.

  • Lisa G.

I just experienced a delicious, healthy lunch for under $10 with fast friendly service. I had the marinated grilled chicken sandwich and garden salad. The veggies were super fresh and the balsamic dressing seemed to be homemade. The chicken had great flavor and tender. When traveling it is so hard to eat right but I felt satisfied and did not cheat on my diet. Not a fancy place, more of a mom & pop's diner but good food and specialty coffees

I wish I could think of something positive to say about my experience at Roberts. I'd give it one star, but that would deem my experience there as somehow memorable. The only reason I can still recall my meal there the other night is because every aspect of this place reeks of mediocrity. Ambience: Think middle school cafeteria, but less classy. The cement floors are complemented nicely by the occasional misplaced ceiling tile and flickering fluorescent light that nobody has bothered to change. Don't sit in the back room if you or anyone else in your party has epilepsy. Service: After being seated, we waited about ten minutes before being acknowledged by any of the wait staff. Just as we were about to get up and leave, someone came by and asked if we wanted anything to drink. "Sure, two lukewarm beers," is what I should have said, because that would have been the only time I got what I requested all night. Food: I'm confident I could have made a better chicken parmesan at home. And that's saying something because I'm not that good of a cook. Even the garlic bread would have been better had they swung by Target and just followed the directions on the box. It boggles the mind when a restaurant lacks the foresight to make bread ready at the same time as an entree. Thanks for the soggy garlic bread. Food this sub-par would be acceptable if they didn't charge airport prices. The only thing this place has going for it is its close proximity to a major airport and some fake positive reviews on the internet. The fact that they have the social media savvy to make this place seem like a good restaurant just might be the most impressive thing about Roberts.

Super friendly staff and very reasonably priced for many homemade dishes. There are 2 homemade soups daily, I had the roasted red pepper bisque and it was delicious! I also had a Greek salad and ordered the veggie muffuletta but it was way too much food, so I saved the sandwich for the next day. Highly recommend this place!

Great food, excellent friendly service!!! Wish they could fly home to Baltimore with us!

  • Dan K.

This place rocks. Stayed at the Holiday Inn down the way many, many times. For being an airport row of hotels, shocking how few dining options are nearby. Stumbled across this place mostly by accident. The highlights... Liquor license Great food, including a killer chicken parmesan Great French dip Liquor license Extremely friendly service Fast takeout Great brownies Liquor license You get the drill. If you're staying at one of the nearby hotels, definitely check this place out. Best for takeout, I'd find dining in the restaurant itself somewhat, um, depressing. But again, the food here truly is delectable, for a diner that is...

Sometimes strip mall restaurants can surprise you. My deliciously tasty New York steak was cooked perfectly medium-rare and the salad was very good. I have no complaints with the attentive service and they offer free wifi. My waiter kept refilling my sparkling water without me asking with no additional charge. It's a nice family place and definitely a step up from the Courtyard by Marriott's food.

It's good. The food is delicious, priced right and the service was outstanding. I defiantly recommend, especially for a quick, sit down lunch.

Order deliver to next door hotel. Mushroom burger looked like it was made in the afternoon and microwaved before deliver for my dinner. I have ordered here a lot but never will again. Say goodbye to a repeat customer!!!

  • Linda M.

Overall our experience was a solid three. It must be hard for a local family style, almost diner-style restaurant to exist amid airport and one night traveler hotels.. Part of my dinner was not great, but the salmon was as wonderful as any I have had. Do consider it is close if you are in the area, a local business, and parts of your meal may be great!

    (3)
  • Joleen C.

Price was pretty good food was great I had the mushroomswiss burger. The decor lacked but service was excellent our waitress was awesome and super friendly. I would def eat here again and recommend you do aswell

    (4)
  • Em. S.

Very mediocre. 2.5 for food. The salad was so tiny that I was still hungry afterwards. The glass of wine was maybe 4 oz. Other dishes may be better. One server was excellent and the other ignored me, so it all evened out.

    (3)
  • Wayne M.

Good food close to airport area hotels. Friendly staff. My go to place when in town. Note: open Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 9:30 pm.

  • Tim C.

Excellent menu selection for such a small place. I ordered the New York Steak and my wife had a roast beef sandwich. Portions are generous and taste great! The clam chowder was to die for--creamy but not heavy. The waitress said all items are made from scratch and its shows. Our late lunch was so good we ordered a club sandwich and two more cups of chowder to go! Much better than you might expect in a business hotel area near the airport!

  • Terri H.

Staying at a hotel near the airport, it doesn't appear there are many dining choices. This place doesn't have a big sign out front or anything, but when I saw the word "deli" in the name, I figured it was a good place to get a sandwich. When I approached the register, they asked if I had already called in an order. I responded no and placed my order. I expected a few minutes wait, but they were very efficient! A sandwich comes with fries, side salad, OR a cup of soup. I ordered the California club sandwich (turkey, provolone, bacon, avocado) red onions on the side, and I had a cup of the tomato basil soup--price $7.99. It was FANTASTIC! DH and I went back the next day, and this time I ordered the French Dip sandwich, also great! They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I definitely recommend this place.

Like other comments, there just aren't any restaurants near the airport hotels. So not feeling like venturing into town, even though it isn't that far, I decided to try Roberts after reading the reviews. Glad I did...it was a pleasant choice. Although the menu isn't extensive, my take is that it's manageable for theses folks so that they can deliver good quality. There's a good assortment of pasta dishes, salads, steaks, and salmon. I wanted a steak anyway so that's where I went. I tried the 8oz New York with Gorgonzola. I asked to double the veggies (rather than starch) and med. rare with a small Greek salad ($2.00 additional). The steak was nicely grilled with a generous portion of thoroughly melted cheese. The veggies were warm and not over cooked, and the salad was fresh. I washed it down with a couple of local malted grain beverages and the bill, with a 20 pct tip for great service, was $36.00. Hard to beat. So, don't shy away from this place because its hard to tell what's going on from the outside. This is not haute cuisine; but it is good food, well prepared, and promptly served. Oh, and they have really good, free, Wi-Fi...nice touch.

This is a strange, yet wonderful, place. It's very reminiscent of an airport bar/restaurant. Most of the patrons are business travelers stranded at the nearby airport hotels and most are ordering vodka/tonics and glasses of wine. I even spotted a couple of martinis. Sweet! Lisa and I were running late on our way to a concert at Saltair. We figured we'd better head west, even though we weren't sure if there would be anywhere to grub on the way outta town. But we had to chance it, and I'm glad we did. Robert's was a cool little place with enormous salads and super tasty onion rings. They provide the fry sauce in a big squeeze bottle and they are very generous with the goods... all the goods. They serve comfort food in a casual sit-down setting. Our waitress(es) were friendly and jokey. They all reminded me of Flo from the old "Alice" TV series. If you don't remember that show, then Kiss My Grits! I would totally eat at Robert's again... even if it's NOT my only choice.

Roberts Diner is the best food option around on the immediate West side of SLC airport. Forget the "International Pantry" and Perkins. Pretty typical for your roadside diner. Service is friendly enough, given the lunch rush. I do like their menu and they have a sandwich I've only seen commonly in Utah, the Muffaleta. It starts off as your basic lunch meat or vegetarian sandwich, then they add the vegetables on top of the meat or cheese like steamed cauliflower and an olive tapenade. I like to add some hot sauce to give it a little horsepower. Over all, given the area you get a lot of bang for your buck at Roberts.

French dip to die for! So good!

  • Tamara M.

This place is in kind of a strange spot, but very convenient to the nearby SpringHill Suites we were staying in. The roasted pepper soup was yummy, though it could have been hotter. The Tuna Muffaletta hit the spot...love the olive tapenade They've recently renovated, and the decor is inviting. Best of all? Our server was SO friendly. She put me in a better mood (after a long day of driving) just seeing how happy she was. Good service goes a long way in my book, so way to go Robert's!

Sorry, I will eat at the hotel next time. My 5 year old could have made better food. Stay away or order salad.

I really like Roberts, I had breakfast there this morning and everything was good. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it's good food. Years ago I came here for almost two weeks straight for lunch while at training at one of the nearby businesses. It was good 6-7 years ago too.

Lovely place. My friend and I went here during a road trip, and it was delicious. I got the steak, he got the salmon, both were very tasty! The service was great as well.

Not too much choice, near these airport hotels, Robert's ain't much too look at, but you never can tell. Food was quite good, I had rigatoni riggies, Service was great, a real friendly waitress. Not too expensive, and you can get yourself a drink. I recommend this place, it's better than you would think.

I was in the same boat as the previous reviewer, stuck in hotel hades w/limited food options... Yelp led me to Roberts.. Thank you! It is a mom and pop type place that serves a pretty broad menu... Italian to burgers, to mufalettas... And the kicker a decent choice of locale brews.... I had the Eggplant Parm and it was pretty darn good. The rigatoni pasta was just like I perfer it el-dente and the sauce was homemade... Service was great and everything was reasonably priced.. While dining other patrons were remarking how good the blackened salmon was..soup... and so forth... Only complaint: I had the "pleasure" of being an unwilling participant in other patrons' cell phone conversations..... Roberts definately beats the happy hour nachos at the Courtyard.....

  • Heather M.

This place is in walking distance for the hotels and has great service and delicious food. The cheese fondu is my favorite along with the riggies. They are well priced and I would recommend this eatery to any body and everybody who is in the area looking for a place to eat. They also have alcoholic beverages for those who need them.

Went to Robert`s resturant tonight for dinner with my daughter, we did not have to wait to long for a seat (a few minutes). Waitress was very nice and attentive during our dinner. Ordered the chicken wings and they were pretty good. I ordered the chicken marsala and my daughter ordered the N.Y. steak with gorganzola cream sauce, without the Gorganzola cream sauce on it(plain steak). Daughter could not eat the steak it was so flavorless. I grill my steaks at home with only salt and pepper and there great. ( medium rare) My chicken marsala was not very good, had a very lemony taste to it which I have never experienced before. So we switched plate. The steak was so bad I asked for steak sauce and they only had Heins 57. NO!!!! A1 at all to bring some sort of life back to the steak. Daughter did not like my chicken marsala either, she scraped off everything and just ate the chicken. I by groupon`s to try places I have never heard of before and have to say it was a waste of money even using groupon. Do places this bad use groupon for advertising a great product or that there business is failing so bad that they try and bring people in only to experience BAD food. I`m a local and the food is terrible.. If I was stuck in town because i`m delayed by a flight or passing through then I would chalk it up to crappy food when leaving town.

    (1)
  • Gus L.

This was my kind of place. Probably as local as "Salt Lake City by the Airport gets"...But it was a great stop! This is a small family type eatery that just had a great vibe. They specialize in Italian food, but the takeout menu on the wall had everything from steaks, to gyro's to lasagna and tuna melts. The staff was cheerful and seemed genuinely glad to have us there.

I've gone to this place a couple of times because it's one of the few dining options near the hotels. This is a no frills place with good service. I've had the pleasure of dining there for both lunch and dinner. They seem to do a lot of business during the lunch hours. It was pretty crowded. The menu is pretty broad with a lot of sandwich options. I had the Roberts Special which was a turkey sandwich with bacon and avocado. Pretty standard. I also received something that I was told was special sauce for my french fries. Apparently it's a Utah thing. It seemed to be ketchup and mayo mixed together. Not bad, but not great. Always love to try something that's native to the area. As for dinner, the menu doesn't seem as broad, but has a decent variety of options. We were given the specials and I was told that the chef likes to experiment with different things. One of the specials was a ham hock dish. I've never had that so I decided to go for it. Overall it was pretty good, but I didn't really like the fat on the ham hock. Kind of rubbery. The sauce that it was cooked in was also a little heavy for me. This is a decent dining option if you are staying at one of the hotels nearby. BTW, they also serve alcohol if you get a little thirsty.

We were staying at one of the SLC airport hotels and as the previous reviewers noted, there are no other eating places nearby. We had a car but when I asked the hotel check-in guy about good local eats, he didn't seem to know any except for Roberts so we thought we'd give it a try. They actually have a diverse menu. I wasn't too hungry so I ordered their special, a veggie salad with chicken. I thought they'd use canned veggies for the green beans but they actually used fresh, I was impressed. They were tasty too, along with sliced zucchinis and I don't remember what else, but it was good. My friends and I were looking forward to trying their apple pie with cheese but they ran out! Sounds gross but it's suppose to taste really good...don't know yet since I didn't get to taste it. There was an elderly couple seated across the other side of the room from us that kept staring at us the entire time. Maybe they're not used to a Caucasian having a meal with some Asians? Odd and creepy old couple but our waitress was friendly and efficient.

Enjoyed a nice light dinner at Robert's this evening. French dip sandwiches were good. Corned beef was okay, but not New York grade. Salads were simple and fresh. Very attentive Wait Staff. WIFI is available but requires a log in. Outside bistro seating is available. Beer was cold, and good. I will stop there again when staying in the area.

If your flight from SLC gets cancelled, you will find yourself in this prison block of hotels next to the airport where there are almost no restaurants or entertainment. This little mom-and-pop place is tucked into an office building. They offer your basic Italian, deli, and even a couple steaks. Portions are generous, service is friendly, food is ok. It beats Happy Hour nachos at the Courtyard.

This eatery is within walking distance of several hotels. It seems like a lunch place that stays open to serve dinner. They have solid food and friendly service, but no ambience! I got salad and some sort of pasta dish. Adequate but not memorable. If I stayed in the area again, I'd be back. On the other hand, I am sure Salt Lake has much better places to try!

I go here all the time and Cheryl know my special coffee order by heart and I never have to even ask, she just brings me the latte with cinnamon and I love that. I also go to the other location all the time, try the breakfast burrito with gravy, amazing. Love their gravy, I eat it by the spoonful. They are also huge supporters of the Armed Forces, big win in my book. Great customer service, I love this place.

Its not a bad place to eat considering its the only one near the hotels. The servers are congenial and friendly. Nothing fancy but a decent place to eat and most customers are probably business people staying at the hotels around the area. I would recommend if you are staying in nearby hotels.

I guess a lot of the reviews are from lunch folks or locals. It's near the hotels, but not that that good. For a restaurant "specializing in Italian", the marinara was shockingly bland. House salad was basically a small bowl of salad with (1) beet slice, (1) tomato chunk, (2) cucumber slices. Eggplant Parm was far from my expectations. The server was nice, but I should have driven away from the hotel restaurant abyss. Advise: go there for lunch and order a sandwich.

Old style, home cooked meals. Spaghetti, lasagna, are great. Some of the specials are even better. Pork chops are too thin and over cooked. Vodka pasta is awesome. Deserts are home made and delicious. The soups are very good also.

Based on the other reviews we thought this would be a good place near our hotel to eat dinner. The entire experience was terrible. We waited over 40 minutes for our main course after the salad was brought to us. I ordered a small steak with a gorgonzola sauce and my husband ordered the special of the day, meatballs and spaghetti. The food came out stone cold... not a little cold but stone cold. The asparagus and carrots as well as the baked potato that accompanied my steak were so cold that it seemed it had been in the fridge and never hit the heat. The special which was touted as homemade meatballs were over cooked, tough and must have been made weeks ago. On top of that the server completely ignored us and when we asked to have the check instead of having the meal redone, she essentially disappeared. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. The food was horrible and the experience was equally as bad. DO NOT GO HERE FOR DINNER. AWFUL!
